This was shown on Saturday night as celebrities showed up in their numbers at Paradise Theatre in New York City for the 3rd Annual Black Girl's Rock Award.
This event was created to empower women in the entertainment industry by Beverly Bond. Celebrties took it to the red carpet to strut and pose with their attire for the evening. Kerry Washington and Alicia Keys were amongst those receiving awards.
Perfomances were done by Brandy, Ciara, Keyshia Cole, India Arie and Alicia Keys as well as a serenade set from singers Anthony Hamiltion, Eric Benet and Luke James.
